The Cocoon

One of God’s most polarizing commands is to honor your parents.

Many spend their whole life wrestling with this command.

Honoring your parents won’t always mean abiding by their own definition of honor. Your parents hopefully showed you tough love and at some point you might have to return the favor. At some point you may see unhealthy aspects within your family tree.

Don’t be controlled by them. Kill them. Put them to death. Show no mercy.

You’ll get push back. Push through it. Sometimes giving life will feel to your family like you’re disrespecting the family tree. Wrestle. Fight. Be courageous.

Like a butterfly struggles its way out of the coccoon, push through it. Beauty and freedom await you on the other side.
